As of October 26, the mainstream price of graphite electrodes in China with a diameter of 300-600mm: ordinary power 20,500-22,500 yuan/ton; high-power 20,500-23,500 yuan/ton; ultra-high power 22,000-26,500 yuan/ton; ultra-high power 700mm graphite electrode 29000-30000 yuan/ton. The specific factors are analyzed as follows:

1.The cost support is still there, and the price of graphite electrodes is firm

The pressure on the cost side still exists, and the price is running at a high level. Mainstream graphite electrode companies said that Fushun and Daqing low-sulfur petroleum cokes were mostly used in their production, and their prices had not loosened. As of October 26, the prices of Fushun and Daqing low-sulfur petroleum cokes remained at 7550-7600 yuan / ton, which was stable compared to last week. The price of low-sulfur petroleum coke in the main refinery has generally increased by 2,000 yuan / ton compared with the beginning of the year, with a comprehensive increase of about 34.51%.

 

In terms of needle coke, the price increased by about 15.52% compared with the beginning of the year; the coal tar pitch also maintained a slight increase in the market. As of October 26, the price increased by about 32.67% compared with the beginning of the year.

 

Based on the prices of low-sulfur petroleum coke, needle coke, and coal tar pitch, which are the upstream raw materials of the current graphite electrode market, theoretically, the current comprehensive cost of the graphite electrode market is about 22,000 yuan/ton. The overall profit margin of the graphite electrode market is insufficient, and there are still losses.
